Imphal, August 11 2021: The State Police detained 68 (sixty eight) persons and released after warning for violating Covid restrictions and guidelines issued by the Government and State Disaster Management Authority and fined a sum Rs 16,750 (sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty) as per law.

The cumulative figure of people detained now stands at 1,54,917 (One lakh fifty four thousand nine hundred and seventeen) while the cumulative fine collected till date is 2,55,14, 940 (Two crore fifty five lakh fourteen thousand nine hundred and forty).

The Police Department warned that those who violate the guidelines and restrictions shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other appropriate laws.
