The Meira Paibis first gathered at Heirangoithong from where they began their rally soon after nightfall.
As they were approaching towards the Chief Minister's bungalow, police first tried to stop them at Chingamakhong.
But they changed the direction and went through Chinga Karak and were coming out at Pishumthong when the police again blocked them.
In spite of the police action, the agitated slogan shouting Meira Paibis tried to move forward, thus compelling the police to chase them towards Mayailambi.
