Ema Emoinu Temple inaugurated, statues of Maichou Taret unveiled

On the auspicious occasion of Emoinu Iratpa Numit, a Temple of Ema Emoinu was inaugurated today at Ibudhou Khagemba Macha Ibungo complex in Kiyamgei.
Additionally, statues of "Chingu Maichou Taret" were also unveiled.
The event organised by Khagemba Committee, Kiyamgei was graced by Mayang Imphal MLA and MANIDCO Chairman, Kongkham Robindro and Keirao AC MLA Lourembam Rameshwor as the chief guest and president respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Kongkham Robindro stressed on the need for the people to learn the history and legacy of the seven Maichous and follow their footsteps to bring prosperity & development in Manipur.
He asserted that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to work for the betterment of the society.
"There will be no development until Manipur becomes self reliant in food production", said the MLA while emphasizing the importance of supporting the farmers and promoting work culture among the people especially among the youths.
Announcing his plans for building a Temple of Ibudhou Pakhangba, Lourembam Rameshwor appealed to the people to provide their support in making his dream of building the Temple come true.
Lourembam Rameshwor also elaborated on the military, administrative and development activities undertaken by King Khagemba during his reign.
Peace and Integrity Committee Kiyamgei (PICK) convenor, Chingakham Meghachandra; ZP Bamon Kampu, Huirom Dharmendra; Kiyamgei Muslim Arapti GP, Chairperson, Wahengbam Birchand; PWD, former Chief Engineer, Moirangjam Lokendro; All Kiyamgei Nupi Chaokhat Thourang Lup president, Moirangthem Sobita; and Joint Chief Electoral Officer Manipur, Ramananda Nongmeikapam were also present at the event.
