AR conducts medical camps

In a steadfast demonstration of its commitment to serving the people, Assam Rifles organized a series of Mega Medical Camps in the challenging terrains of Kamjong Town, Chassad Village and Maokot Village of Kamjong district, Manipur, as part of its Civic Action Programme.
The Health Camp conducted between December 7-9, brought critical healthcare services and medicine distribution to remote communities along the sensitive Indo-Myanmar border, said a release issued by IGAR (South) .
The camps, facilitated by the Assam Rifles units stationed in Kamjong, were conducted in collaboration with civil medical authorities of Kamjong district.
Four committed specialist doctors, including experts in dentistry, gynecology, surgery, and general medicine provided personalised consultations, treatment and guidance tailored to the specific health needs of the attendees, said the IGAR (S) .
Medicines were provisioned, providing much-needed relief to villagers with limited or no access to quality healthcare.
The initiative catered to approximately 710 residents from Kamjong town, Maokot, Chassad, and nearby villages including Chattrik Khullen, Chahong Khunou, Gampal, Shampui, Ningthi, Pihang, Bungpa Khullen and Skipe, said IGAR.
IGAR (S) continued that the overwhelming response from the villagers underscored the urgent need for such initiatives in these under-served areas.
The locals expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for addressing their healthcare challenges and igniting hope in these remote and geographically demanding regions, added IGAR (S) .
