Imphal, April 09 2022:
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has expressed concern over the rampant use of unfair means in the ongoing Class XII examinations at certain examination centres conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) .
DESAM in a press release said that four special teams of DESAM conducted inspection visit at Little Star English Higher Secondary School, Thoubal Haokha, N Tomchou Higher Secondary School, Mayang Imphal, Kakching Higher Secondary School, Kakching and Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang today.
During the visit, the volunteers found the students using unfair means and copying from one another at Little Star English Higher Secondary School, Thoubal Haokha and N Tomchou Higher Secondary School, Mayang Imphal but no extreme cases were found.
However the examination was found to be conducted in a peaceful manner at Kakching Higher Secondary School which is commendable.
But the situation at Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang was alarming as the students were found to be using unfair means extensively along with the support of outsiders.
Some students were found to be having answers exactly as per the sequence in the question paper, added the release.
Lastly, DESAM urged all concerned to ensure that the board examinations are conducted in a free and fair manner to safeguard the future of the students rather than spoiling them by helping them in using unfair means.
