Imphal, February 08 2024: The Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) has resolved to continue its ongoing economic blockade along Wanglee-Kasom-Yairipok Road until the Government gives assurance to construct the incomplete PMGSY roads under TAKL's jurisdiction.

According to a statement issued by TAKL, the Union imposed the indefinite economic blockade from 5 pm, February 7 due to the negligence in executing PMGSY works pertaining to the road construction from Yaingangpokpi Bazar to Chadong, L029 to Nongdam (T), Kangkum to Wangli and Sikibung to Louphong.

Since the imposition of the economic blockade, TAKL has stopped all commercial and Government vehicles from plying along the Wanglee-Kasom-Yairipok Road, said the statement.
