ZUF: Jenchui Kamei gang 'misusing' ZUF name

Imphal, February 08 2021: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), in a statement issued today, alleged that the fabricated and concocted press release issued by a gang led by Jenchui Kamei using the name and style of Zeliangrong United Front(ZUF) to blame ZUF for the terror activities committed by them was nothing but self-explanatory.

The unfortunate incident involving the SDO/ADC of Noney, Abdul Hakim vehicle on February 2, 2021 followed by rampant looting of vehicles on NH-37 between Charoi Pandongba Part II and Seijang on February 5 were staged to tarnish the image of ZUF and create a state of confusion and misunderstanding to interrupt the peace process for political solution going on between the Government of India and ZUF under the banner of NNPGs, it added.

The Jenchui Kamei gang is terrorizing the public and hampering developmental works in Zeliangrong areas particularly in Noney district.

A number of kidnapping and snatching of vehicles keys from various companies/contractors for ransom and extortion have been carried out to terrorize the public using the name of ZUF, it alleged.

ZUF further appealed to the public particularly Zeliangrong and its kindred tribes to be cautious and not to be misled by such gangs.
