Development possible only with public's help: RK Imo

MLA Sagolband AC, RK Imo has conveyed that, in his time as an ML A during the last eight years, he has been able to take up several developmental activities in the constituency with cooperation and suggestions from the people.
He made the above statement at the inaugural function of compound fencing & extension of community hall at Local Youth Development Association in Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai today.
Continuing his speech as the chief guest of the function, the MLA claimed that under his leadership, maximum of 95 percent of new water pipe lines has been connected while many roads including major ones have been kept in a good shape, either from the Government funding or by pooling in the required fund.
Imo further stated that street lights have been erected along small and big roads in Sagolband AC while adding that it is his responsibility to meet the needs of the people, which are water, power and roads.
He further claimed that altogether 18 community halls have been constructed in the past 8 years and many are currently under construction.
Imo maintained that maximum of the development funds are invested to progress the constituency in a transparent manner.
Talking about the newly inaugurated community hall, he informed that the construction was divided into two phase.
For the first phase, the compound fencing and inclusion of a kitchen as an extension of the hall has been taken up.
The estimated cost of the construction is Rs 19 lakh.
LYDA patron member Wahengbam Amubi attended the function as president while Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai Nupi Lup president Potshangbam Mani, LYDA advisors namely Ch Mani; T Ibobi and L Saratchandra, IMC ward no 10 Corporator S Tiken, ward no 7 Corporator RK Jiten and Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee L Nobokumar as guests of honour.
