LDA Chairman inspects surrounding areas of Loktak lake

Imphal, February 08 2019: MLA L Susindro who was recently appointed as the chairman of Loktak Development Authority (LDA) has conveyed that the concerned authority will strive for protection and promotion of Loktak lake adding that a view point will be created at the top of Thanga Chaoba hill while a surveillance camera will also be installed to inspect the lake and its surrounding.

An inspection tour was conducted in which the Chairman took stock of the condition of Loktak lake and other projects of LDA including Ningthoukhong Project Canal, Sendra Loktak Inland Water Transport, the projects undertaking at Thanga Haorang Chingyang and visited the Thang Chaoba hilltop to overview the matter.

Speaking to media persons, the MLA stated that he, as the chairman of LDA, will be taking up various developmental and positive works around the Loktak lake so as to safeguard and promote the lake, as per the direction of the Chief Minister.

Susindro appealed all the locals to extend support to any developmental works taken up by LDA and the State Government.
