Imphal, January 08 2025: The United Peoples' Front (UPF) has issued an appeal calling for widespread public participation in the 191st death anniversary of Chinglen Nongdren khomba (Maharaja Gambhir Singh) tomorrow.

Speaking to media persons at the UPF office located in Keishamthong Laisom Leirak, N Rupachandra, president of UPF, shared that preparations are complete for the observance of the 191st National Reconsolidation Day.

Tributes will be paid to the late King at his resting place at Langthabal in Canchipur tomorrow.

Following this, a gathering will be convened at Pishum Hao Ground, Singjamei Chinga Mathak, he added.

Rupachandra shared that the day will also be observed in Assam and Jiribam district.
