Technologies Demonstration, Training Programmes conducted

A 3-Days Training Program on the theme, "She is a Change Maker" organised by State Academy of Training, Manipur began today at its campus in Takyel, Imphal.
The programme was conducted under the sponsorship of National Commission for Women, New Delhi.
The inaugural session was graced by A Asholi Chalai, Joint Secretary, NCW, New Delhi and Md S Daulat Khan, Additional Director, SAT, Manipur.
According to a release issued by SAT, the programme was organised with the aim to empower and enrich the knowledge of women representatives of rural and urban local bodies on various topics including leadership skill, team building, effective use of social media, cybercrime against women and anti-human trafficking, effective communication skills, gender budgeting, functioning of local bodies and role of women representatives, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, A Asholi Chalai stressed on the importance of the role of women in bringing a positive and effective change in the society.
He also stated that with knowledge and skill, women can move forward in leaps and bounds in all aspects of life.
Moreover, Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) also organised a 2-Days Technology Demonstration cum Popularisation Programme at its complex in Takyelpat today.
The programme was conducted with the support of the Science & Technology Department, Government of Manipur.
The inaugural function was graced by Hungyo Worshang, Secretary, Science & Technology; Prof Ng Joykumar, Head, Process & Food Engineering, College of Food Technology, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal; Chingakham Shachi, Joint Secretary, Science & Technology and Dr L Minaketan, Director, MASTEC as presidium members.
At the event, Hungyo Worshang said that many people who participated in the training programmes conducted by MASTEC have become successful entrepreneurs.
He also advised the trainees to use the knowledge they gain from different experts wisely to become successful in their respective field.
Altogether, 30 participants are taking part in the training programme.
Training and demonstration of Soil Organic Carbon Detection Kit (SOCDK), Fluoride Detection Kit (FDK), Vibro Thermal Disinfestor (VTD), Mini Dal Mill and Multi Food Processing Machine will be conducted during the two-days long programme.
