'Arrest culprits': Students demand justice for Jugeshwor

Manipur Students Federation (MSF) Jiribam District Committee with students of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya School Jiribam staged a protest demanding arrest of culprits involved in a hit and run case which claimed the life of vice-president of MSF Ningthoujam Jugeshwor.
N Jugeshwor along with Anand Elangbam, who is the joint secretary of MSF, were hit by a four wheeler vehicle in front of ISBT, Khuman Lampak while they were travelling on a two wheeler (Bullet) on the evening of June 22 .
After the car involved fled the scene, the two were rushed to Raj Medicity.
N Jugeshwor succumbed to his injuries on June 25 .
The students today held placards and raised slogans demanding justice for the deceased.
President of MSF Jiribam District Committee A Rajiv Singh said Jugeshwor's death is unfortunate and a loss for the student community.
Demanding arrest of the culprits involved in the hit and run case, MSF Jiribam warned the authority concerned and the Government that it will launch stringent agitation if the case is not solved at the earliest.
Students in Thoubal too formed human chain along the NH-102 protesting the 'failure of the Police/Government' in arresting the culprits involved.
Members of AMSU Thoubal, members of MSF and large number of students took part in the protest.
The students formed human chain from Thoubal College Gate to Thoubal Bazar.
Speaking to media persons, organising secretary of MSF HQ Md Zeeshan said the organisation along with the students will continue to hold democratic forms of protest until the culprits are arrest and justice is served.
