Women Empowerment camp held in Mayanglangjing

Imphal, April 07 2015 : A one-day awareness camp on Women Empowerment for girl students (schools and colleges) was held on Sunday from 10am to 4pm at Mayanglangjing Maning Community Hall.

The programme was jointly organized by Imphal West Zilla Parishad and Organizing Committee Mayanglangjing ZPTC, sponsored by Department of Social Welfare Government of Manipur.

Imphal West Zila Parishad Adhyaksha Y Dashumati Devi and Imphal West Zila Parishad (ZP) Member K Sunita was the chief guest and president respectively.

GP Pradhan Mayanglangjing , Kh Sanaton; GP Pradhan Phumlou, I Ranjan; GP Pradhan Lairenkabi kadangband, N Bobi; Takyel ZP Member, A Manimala and Khurkhul ZP Member, Kh Randhoni were guest of honours at the programme.

State Project Manager RD & PR Govt of Manipur, Sh Sima also attended the programme as Technical Chairperson of the programme.

AIR announcer Ksh Minakshi was the programme presenter.

The programme started with registration of campers, followed by inaugural session.

The programme had technical session and talks on 'Women issues with reference to Women Empowerment' and 'Health Care Service under NHM particularly girl adolescent' by CDPO ICDS Project Imphal west-I Lamsang, T Lukamani and MO Khurukhul PHC, Dr Bimola respectively. The programme concluded with Valedictory Session by Sima after the Speech of Advocate Director Prosecutor, Ng Tejkumar on 'Legal aid provisions related to violence and crime against women' .
