Imphal, January 07 2022: Shija Vision Center at Nambol set up by Shija Eye Care Foundation in partnership with Mission for Vision, Mumbai, and Wen Giving Foundation was inaugurated today.

The inaugural function was graced by Dr Sachindra Laishram, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Dr Yengkhom Shailendra, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Anisha Khundongbam, Deputy Manager Operations, Denish Thokchom, Deputy Manager and Khangembam Rojikanta, Assistant Manager, Shija Eye Care Foundation as the presidium members, said a press release by Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Pvt Ltd.

The Vision Center has been set up with the objective to increase and improve comprehensive eye care for the unreached population of the Bishnupur district and the center will offer complete eye examination to diagnose refraction, cataract, glaucoma, and other eye conditions, testing for diabetes, dispensing of eyeglasses, and care for simple ocular emergency services.

The center is equipped with ophthalmic and other equipment to enable basic eye examination and manned by qualified staff, added the press release.
