AFSPA enforced in many parts of ArP

Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju today informed the Rajya Sabha that various districts of Arunachal Pradesh bordering Assam have been brought under the ambit of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
Rijiju made this comment in a written reply to a poser raised by D Raja.
Rijiju said that the areas where AFSPA has been declared for a brief period fall under 16 police stations and AFSPA has been declared to control the activities of militant groups including the NDFB (S), ULFA (I) and NSCN (K) .
Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts are already under the Army Act for a period of six months.
AFSPA was activated after declaring the places as disturbed.
