Students watch PM Modi

Following the tough instruction of Zonal Education Officer, Kangpokpi, Private run educational institutions as well as schools under Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi and around 180 schools under ZEO, Kangpokpi watched live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on Teacher's Day today.
Students were surprised of the incident since such display has been never done before, said a teacher, who herself also admitted that it was incredible.
According to Ngahchong Kipgen, Zonal Education Officer, Kangpokpi, all the educational institutions under ZEO, Kangpokpi including private schools adhered to the instruction and let the children watch the live telecast of PM for the first time, which has never been done before.
The officer continued that those schools in remote areas where TV facility is not accessible used radio to listen to Prime Minister's speech.
Reports regarding the events along with photos were received from some schools till evening and others will submit tomorrow, added the
ZEO, Kangpokpi.
Speaking to the local media persons, a class VII student of JN Public School said, "I have never witnessed such event during my educational career, which inculcated a new thought in my mind though I cannot follow all the meanings of the Prime Minister's speech" .
