PNBA Churches celebrate Youth Day

The Poumai Naga Baptist Churches observed the first Sunday of May as "Youth Day of Prayer" annually and for this year, the Youth department of Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) observed it on the theme "Building the youth" where different competition in different fields such as debate, extempore speech, Bible quiz, biblical skits, talent shows and singing competitions were held in more than 8 0 churches under PNBA.
The Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati (PBCS) has also organized similar programme at its Church with Rev P James, Executive Secretary, Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) as the main speaker on the theme 'Exposition in the morning and evening worship services'.
Special prayer was also conducted by the local pastor for the youth members of each church and the ministries of the youth Department under PNBA during the morning worship service.
Noon session of the day witnessed various competitions between four different colonies residing at Senapati which include Viewland colony, Zaikarii Christian colony, Indoor Hall colony and Bazaar colony.
They competed on talent show, solo competition; group Bible recitation, debate competition on the topic, "Dress code should be maintained in the Church" and choral competition on "The Eastern gate".
Handsome prizes were awarded by the youth department of the PBCS.
K Tennyson Pou, Asst Manager, SBI, Senapati Branch exhorted the youth before the commencement of the various competitions during the noon session.
At the end of the programme, the adjudicators of the various competitions - PJ Shengao, SN Gladson and M Kophfii John - declared Viewland colony, Bazaar colony and Christian colony as the first, second and third position holders respectively in Solo competition.
The Indoor Hall colony, Christian colony and Bazaar colony as the first, second and third in Group Bible Recitation competitions respectively.
In debate competition, The Christian colony, Viewland colony and Indoor Hall colony were declared as the first, second and third position holders respectively whereas in choral competition, The Bazaar colony, Viewland colony and the Indoor Hall colony secured the first, second and third position respectively.
