Flight cancelled, passengers left in quandary

Annoyed by the attitude of Indian Airlines officials, passengers of Air India Flight IA /890 went back from the Imphal Tulihal International airport at around 8.30 pm in search for accommodation for the night after any of the responsible officers of the airport refused to come out before the passengers following sudden cancellation of the Air India Flight.
Speaking to the media persons at the Imphal Tulihal Airport, one of the passengers said that they boarded the plane to take off for New Delhi via Guwahati after security check up and after obtaining the boarding passes at around 4.30 pm.
As the aircraft's engine was ignited for take off, a sound was heard underneath the plane.
Immediately, the engine was put off and the passengers were kept confined inside the plane for almost 1 hour, he said.

After that the passengers were asked to get down from the aeroplane citing certain technical problems and need to repair it.
Even after 3 hours of take off schedule, the authority did not announce that the flight has been cancelled.
At around 8.30 pm, an announcement was made to put off light inside the airport in addition to asking the passengers to leave the airport complex, he said.
One of the lady passengers said that the way authority treated the passengers was humiliating.
She said that they have to go Delhi for her treatment and health check up.
Another old lady who was in a wheel chair was also going for treatment, according to the lady passenger.
Another passenger said that they have to take the flight up to Guwahati from where they have to catch a train for Delhi tonight at around 10.30 but due to the cancellation, they have to cancel their train tickets.
The passenger also asked if anybody would reimburse them for the cancelled train tickets.
When the media persons tired to meet responsible officers of the airport, no officer was found at that time except for some subordinate staff.
When the media persons asked them about the accommodation, they replied that they have hired vehicles to drop some passengers up to their places.
