MHRC inspects quarantine centres

A team of Manipur Human Rights Commission led by its Acting Chairperson and including DC and SP of Bishnupur district visited and inspected quarantine centres at the district today.
As per a statement of the MHRC, there are three quarantine centres set up at S Kulla Women College (Nambol), Thambal Marik College, Oinam and Loyola School, Bishnupur.
The official team headed by the Acting Chairperson inquired about the presence of Nodal Officer (Management Committee of the quarantine centre); Medical Nodal Officer and security staff posted at the quarantine centres as per the guidelines of World Health Organisation.
The team further took stock of the number of rooms available at the centres, number of inmates in each room and sizes of the rooms besides checking availability of water and conditions of toilet and bathroom facilities etc., the statement said.
Total number of inmates, places from where they returned were also assessed apart from inquiring number of children, pregnant women, physically challenged, drug users, persons with medical conditions and security provided, it added.
