Parliamentary Secy Leishiyo inaugurates Lambui High School

Parliamentary Secretary (PHED/P&S/Horticultur & Soil Conservation) K Leishiyo today inaugurated Ramval/Lambui High School constructed under RMSA in the presence of ADC Members SP Mashungam and Khayinghor .
It may be mentioned that the school was slated to be inaugurated on June 29 but could not do so .
ZEO Ukhrul LM Makaohei Singh; principal of Jawaharlal Navodya Vidyalaya, Lambui, Lungshim Horam; Major Sridhar and Captain Sagar of Assam Rifles Lambui Post and headman of Ramva village Wungnaoyo also took part in the inaugural function .
Speaking on the occasion, K Leishiyo said that the school infrastructures provided by the Government should be maintained and managed responsibly by its staff, students and locals collectively as their own .
He also appealed to the students to be cleared with their aims in life and work hard in their endeavour while pursuing their ambition .
The Government school students are no lesser than any other private school students, he added .
The village headman on behalf of the villagers expressed gratitude to the Government for providing the school infrastructures .
On seeing the shortages of Mathematics and Science teachers at Lambui High School, Lungshim Horam and Major Sridhar assured to assist in teaching the subjects including Hindi .
K Leishiyo after inaugurating the school also inspected JNV, Lambui where he interacted with its principal and staff .
He also inspected the ongoing construction of North Eastern Council (NEC) funded rainwater harvesting scheme, stipulated to be completed in April .
He appealed to the concerned contractors and people involved in the construction to act responsibly for the welfare and interest of the public .
On his way back to Imphal, the Parliamentary Secretary visited Leingangching village and interacted with elders.
He also inspected the venue for Golden Jubilee cum Conference and Sports Meet which will be held in January 2018 under the banner of Tangkhul Southern Students' Union .
The event is expected to be participated and witnessed by around 5000 youth from 84 villages .
He assured minimum infrastructures like football, volleyball playground and venue timely.
