Twin blasts near Khuman Lampak: Club condemns 'arrogance' of State Govt

Honorary secretary of Youth Organisation Sporting Club (YOSC), Khurai Konsam Leikai, Y Biken today condemned the 'arrogance' of the State Government towards the victim of recent twin bomb blasts at Khuman Lampak.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Manipur Y Biken said that Konsam Santosh (45), a teacher at CC Higher Secondary School, from Khurai Konsam Leikai was hurt in the blasts that took place near MMTA office and AR Transit Camp at around 7.20 pm of April 22 .
"The splinters from the blast hit his right hand but he continued to drive his vehicle.
However, he was seriously injured when splinters from the second blast near AR Transit camp hit both his thighs," Biken said.
Santosh was evacuated to Raj Medicity by a group of Commandos patrolling nearby, said Biken and lauded the police personnel for saving the life of the teacher.
The State Government, however has not approached the victim till now, he said blaming it for turning a blind eye to the incident.
Spokesperson of Coordinating Committee, Khurai, Bon Khurai stated that MMTA, All Manipur Higher Secondary Welfare Association and CC Higher Secondary Students Union had condemned the despicable act and asked for assistance to the victim.
But there is no response from the Government so far, he said.
Meanwhile, members of Khurai Konsam Leikai Nupi Lup, including Nongthombam Radhamani have appealed all concerned groups not to repeat such act and put the lives of civilians in danger.
