Bishnupur, March 03 2017: As the Manipur Legislative Assembly election would be held tomorrow, presiding officers, polling officers, police personnel and CAPF personnel have reached their respective polling stations in Bishnupur district today.

A total of 1180 officers including 227 presiding officers and 953 polling officers have been deployed in the six ACs of Bishnupur district.

Out of the 227 polling stations of the district, Nambol AC which comprises of 45 polling stations will have six polling officers where VVPATs would be used and the remaining ACs will have five polling officers each as usual.

A total of 439 security personnel consisting of women police personnel, armed and unarmed State civil police have also been deployed.

248 personnel will be deployed from CAPF platoon 31 .

50 personnel will be used from ITBP Platoon 2 to guard EVM strong room and two CAPF platoons will guard the office complex.
