Poll preparedness: Series of meeting held with DLOs, political representatives

Additional Chief Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Vumlunmang on Thursday chaired Covid-19 vaccination meeting with the district administrations, concerned DLOs and other officers on the status of the on-going vaccination drive at Conference Hall, DC's Office.
In the vaccination review meeting, Vumlunmang sought the cooperation from the DLOs and officers to support the Deputy Commissioner Pawan Yadav.
"We are here to serve the people, let us not turn them away", he said.
The meeting resolved to assign three medical officers and two supporting staff to help the District Immunization Officer for the smooth functioning and effective implementation of the vaccination campaign.

It decided to increase the vaccination team to 100.Weekly plans have to be developed and the movement of the vaccination team should be predictable for better access to the vaccination sites.
It is also decided that SDOs should inform the BLOs to mark vaccination status in the electoral rolls for easy identification of unvaccinated persons.
The Additional Chief Secretary also urged the ZEO to depute 3 staff to help in data management.
Dr Satendr Kumar Verma, RRT Consultant, WHO and H Vanlalven Langel, VCCM/CCP, UNDP also attended the meeting.
In the afternoon, the District Election Officer Pawan Yadav chaired a meeting of District Nodal Officers and link officers/coordinators at DC's Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex to review election preparedness of the district ahead of the coming Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
KANGPOKPI
DEO/DC Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, also chaired a meeting with representatives of all the recognised political parties to discuss election expenditures of candidates for the three ACs of Kangpokpi District namely 46-Saikul (ST), 51-Saitu (ST) and 50-Kangpokpi at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, Kangpokpi District.
Interacting with the representatives, DEO exhorted them to play a vital role for a healthy, peaceful, democratic, free and fair conduct of the upcoming election.
She also urged the representatives to follow Covid appropriate behaviour and come forward to help the voters to get fully vaccinated.
The DEO further informed them to advise the candidates to file nomination papers at the earliest to avoid rush during the last hour while urging the candidates to communicate to Returning Officers of their respective constituencies in case of any doubt.
It may be mentioned that candidates can file nomination papers till February 8, 2022, scrutiny will be held on February 9 and withdrawal of candidature is on February 11.The election will be conducted on February 27 between 7 am to 4 pm .
Returning Officers of 46-Saikul (ST) A/C, Bhungba Maibam Khuman; 50 Kangpokpi A/C, Laishram Manikanta; 51-Saitu (ST) A/C, Sapam Bishojit; District Nodal Officer Expenditure Management, Rebek Lalparvul and Nodal Officer MCMC, Tenshubam Ranita also attended the meeting.
