DESAM Jiribam observes 23rd Foundation Day

Jiribam, January 03 2025: The Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), Jiribam District Council today celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day at its office located in Babupara, Jiribam.

The celebration held under the theme "The Impact of Present Crisis on Education in Manipur" was attended by Ethno Heritage Council, Jiribam District Council, advisor Hamom Dhoni Meetei, DESAM Jiribam District Council, president Thokchom Santosh, WASED president, N Nivarani Devi, Ethno Heritage Council, Jiribam president, Senjam Sainik Kumar Singh and Founder, executive member DESAM Head Office, Deputy Secretary Education & Academic Affairs 2002-2003, Wahengbam Premchand as presidium members.

The event commenced with the lighting of candles by DESAM, Jiribam District Council president, Thokchom Santosh and honoured the dignitaries by presenting a traditional shawl.

As part of the programme, the two newly inducted teachers of Jiribam Higher Secondary School and journalists of Jiribam were feted with simple gifts by DESAM.

Later, former members of DESAM, Jiribam District Council were honoured with traditional shawls as part of the celebration.
