NLCPI celebrates "Reymei Charuangc Kariumei Mung"

Imphal, October 02 2024: Nungba Luangcrian Chamnac Phwam, Imphal (NLCPI) successfully organised the celebration of "Reymei Charuangc Kariumei Mung" at ADC Bhawan Hall, Sangakpham, Imphal on September 30, 2024 .

The event held under the theme "Friends change, Neighbours don't" began with an invocation prayer by Pouh Joajiana Kamei, Pastor, CBC, Imphal.

According to a release issued by NLCPI, the event was organised to give a platform for the people of Nungba Sub-Division residing in Imphal to come and spend a moment together with friends & relatives, and strengthen the bond of love, unity and cooperation among the villages under Nungba Sub-Division.

The grand event was graced by Hannah Kamei, Director, TA & Hills; Kanambuan Kamei, Senior Branch Manager, LIC, Imphal and Lungjengkhwan Kamei, Lecturer, Ph D Scholar, as the chief guest, guest of honour and keynote speaker respectively.

The meeting attendees, mostly the students, were inculcated the importance of love and respect for the elders and forerunner of the society.

Students were also encouraged to cultivate and nurture reading habits regardless of age and to have strong determination which is the prerequisite for a person to excel and achieve great things in life.

Hundreds of people attended the event consisting of senior social leaders, student leaders, students from various colleges and schools, parents and friends from different areas residing in Imphal city.

Apart from invaluable speeches by honoured guests, the event was also adorned by cultural dance, traditional attire show, choreography and sweet music by well-known artists such as James Riamei, frontman of the GMP band, Mathiuhuam Kamei, Silentliu Kamei and RK Lanjeiliu.

The executives of NLCPI and Function Committee expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the noble hearted leaders and elders including Dipu Gangmei, MLA Nungba AC; social worker Adai Phaomei; Nepolean Ruangmei, DFO, Kamjong District; Thuigai Mathieu Rongmei, Chairperson, STs Commission, Manipur; Dr Stephen Kamel; Nambi Gangmei, PWD special contractor; Jaojian Dangmei and others benefactors & well- wishers for their support and assistance in make the event a grand success.
