ZSUM hails Govt

Imphal, April 02 2018: Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) has appreciated the State Government for appointing Dr J Suresh Babu as the new Chief Secretary of the State with effect from yesterday.

ZSUM in a press release stated that Dr J Suresh Babu being an IAS officer of Manipur cadre since 1986 is well verse in every issue of the State therefore he would be able to handle it effectively with his long experience of the complex issue of tribal and other related problems.

The union wished him all the best for his career and successful stay in the State for the rest of his service.

It requested to all the civil society organisations to cooperate with the new Chief Secretary for effective administration and accountability.

It expressed hope that the new Chief Secretary will work in well balance in view of the sensitivity of every issue pertaining to the State.

ZSUM stated that it will continue to cooperate in all the developmental activities taking up with his initiative through the Government particularly in the hills districts if need arises.
