Imphal, February 02 2020: Two poetry books titled "Akaiba Likli Machet" and "Mee Amasung Shaa" (Meitei Mayek translation) written by Angom Sarita were released today.

The book releasing ceremony held at the Manipur Hindi Parishad was attended by Convenor Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, Nongmaithem Kirankumar, president Manipuri Literary Society Imphal, Prahlad Sharma and Chief Librarian State Central Library Imphal, L Momota as dignitaries.

President Seawaves, Manipur, Salam Tomba attended the event as book reviewer.

It may be noted that the poetry book "Mee Amasung Shaa" had won Angom Sarita Yuva Puraskar 2015 of the Sahitya Akademi New Delhi.

During the event, Laishram Biramangol, who had recently won the Sahitya Akademi Award 2019 for his novel "Ei Amadi Adungeigi Ethat", was also feted with citation.
