Imphal, August 01 2021: The JAC formed in connection with the death of Md Ibadur Rahaman has urged the State Government to arrest all people responsible for his death within 48 hours.

The JAC cautioned that they will launch an agitation if their demand is not heeded.

Md Ibadur Rahaman @ Achouba (18), s/o Md Tamijur Rahaman of Khelakhong Mayai Leikai was found dead on July 31 at Khelakhong Iroi Salam under Mayang Imphal Police Station.

Speaking to media persons, the JAC convenor Md Islao Rahaman said that the nature of Ibadur Rahaman death is highly suspicious.

He left his home on July 30, he added.

Saying that the police have seized drugs and lethal tools from the house of one of the accused but the accused is still on the run, he urged the Government to arrest all people involved in the 'killing' and punish them accordingly at the earliest.

He also asserted that the body of the deceased will not be claimed.
