Tpl, February 01 2018: The CSOs of Moreh, including The Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh, Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) and Kuki Women Union & Human Rights (KWU&HR), have imposed a 48 hour bandh along Imphal-Moreh road from midnight today, owing to the failure of the State Govt to revoke the transfer order of SDPO Lawrence, within the deadline set by the associations.

Speaking at a press meet held at HTC Moreh office today, the CSOs cautioned to launch an indefinite general strike along Imphal-Moreh road if the authorities concerned continue to neglect the demand of the CSOs.

It can be recalled that the CSOs had urged the State Government to revoke the transfer order of the SDPO, which was issued by DGP Manipur, and had set a deadline of 24 hours to fulfil their demand, threatening to take up stringent agitation if the authority concerned failed.
