Sinakeithei Village gets new primary school

Ukhrul ADC chairman Dr Yaronsho Ngalung today inaugurated a newly established Autonomous District Council (ADC) primary school and subsequently handed it over to the Sinakeithei village authority in the presence of ADC Vice-Chairman M Isaac, Councilors, Addl CEO, Headman and others.
Dr Yaronsho Ngalung, while speaking at the inaugural function, elaborated about the difficulties being faced in discharging public services due to fund paucity.
He went on to mention the need of strengthening the Hill Area Committee (HAC) to safeguard the Constitutional rights of the tribal people.
The ADC Chairman further stated that the forum of six District Councils has approached the newly appointed HAC Chairman Leishiyo Keishing to devolve power to District Council for better grassroots governance.
Sinakeithei primary school was constructed under the State fund 2019-2020 by Autonomous District Council, Ukhrul.
Dr Yaronsho Ngalung also informed that the installation of necessary school furniture and toilet construction for both boys and girls would be completed before the next academic session.
Meanwhile, the Sinakeithei village chairman K Phungmi Zimik expressed that the villagers have been yearning and pursuing the establishment of primary school in the village for more than 45 years to provide basic education to their children.
The village chairman also highlighted their plight and grievances and further mentioned that the village authority has approached Works Minister Th Biswajit to install solar lamps, upgrade Sinakeithei SDC to Sub-divisional Block centre, police station etc.
Ukhrul ADC V Chairman M Isaac, Councillors Wungreiyo, Thanchipem Jagoi, VL Khayinghor and visiting ADC officers also delivered speeches during the function.
Later, in a separate function, Ukhrul ADC Chairman Dr Yaronsho Ngalung also inaugurated the waiting shed constructed at Rationtang, Ringui village on his way back to Ukhrul.
