He added that the State Government considers health and power sectors to be the most important sectors which need to be developed.
"To tap the potential and skill of our youth, Information Technology has been given due importance to make Manipur an IT hub in the entire North East region," Ibobi said.
Inaugurating a newly constructed infrastructure is not the main motive of the State Government.
Our primary objective is to render services to the people.
We all should take part in making the health care sector march forward and make the State a health care destination for citizens of the neighbouring countries, he added.
The Chief Minister also expressed happiness on learning that over 1000 patients avail services of OPD in JNIMS daily and appealed to the medical fraternity to deliver proper services to the patients.
The State Government will take no credit on any development in the field of health, sports and culture as it is the asset of the entire people of Manipur.
These three sectors should not be politicized by any political party.
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam who also attended the inaugural function applauded the visionary works of the Chief Minister who has gracefully transformed JNIMS into one of the finest medical institutes of the State and also of the entire North East region despite limited resources.
Taking due note of the scientific temperament of the Manipuri youth in the field of health care services, the visionary leader of Manipur has transformed the face of health care, he said.
"The success story of JNIMS is one of the most remarkable achievements which the State has made in the last 15 years," Gaikhangam said.
He also urged the people to treasure JNIMS as their own.
Meanwhile Director of JNIMS Dr L Deben appreciated the constant effort of the Chief Minister who is keen to bring better changes in the health sector. Further he said that five more clinical subjects will be added in the post graduate courses offered in JNIMS.
