Imphal, November 30 2012: The 37 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector organised a lecture on Hygiene and Sanitation at Shaluk village today.

The lecture was conducted by Senior Medical Officer and Para Medical Staff the Unit, said a PRO IGAR (S) release adding that a total of 200 villagers of nearby villages of Shaluk attended the lecture.

The aim of the event was to educate villagers of all age groups and emphasized on health, hygiene and sanitation.

The Medical team also provided medical treatment to the needy persons.

Similarly, 24 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Tengnoupal on November 29 wherein a total of 120 patients were diagnosed and provided medicines.

In another occasion, 27 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector organised a "career counselling" at Pangaltabi High School on November 29 .

The lecture was conducted with the aim to acquaint the students with the various career opportunities in Armed forces and was attended by a total of 150 persons, added the release.
