Raise grievances by Aug 7: DC Imphal West

Imphal, July 31 2024: The Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, has informed the public particularly those families affected by the heavy rain & hailstorm that swept across the State on May 5, 2024, causing widespread destruction to properties including houses, to raise their grievances in case they have not received their due entitled CGI sheets or any issues of wrong classification of extent of damage (partial/severe/fully etc) to the concerned Sub-Deputy Collectors/Sub-Divisional Officers on or before August 7 .

In a release, the DC recounted that the office vide a notice dated May 5, 2024 had informed the public in Imphal West District to submit damage report in the prescribed form along with geo-tagged photographs to the respective offices of the District Administration.

The DC continued that physical verification of each and every application received was taken up and accordingly, the list of head of family members for those whose houses with the category of damaged and extent of damage revenue wise was published on May 13, 2024 on "https://imphalwest.nic.sin" containing 224 numbers of frilly damaged, 18463 numbers of severely damaged and 9858 numbers of partially damaged houses.

"In due course, it has come to the notice of this Office that there were few left out cases or cases of wrong classification, that require further re-verification exercise.

The same was conducted and accordingly, a revised list of beneficiaries containing 177 numbers of totally damaged, 21454 numbers of severely damaged and 7975 numbers of partially damaged houses was notified and published on https://imphalwest.nic.in on July 27, 2024 for information to one and all", it added.

The DC also stated that the CGI sheet of minimum of 0.30 mm thickness and 10 ft length were distributed to all beneficiaries in the following quantity: Fully damaged-177 (3 bundles of CGI sheets or 21 sheets each per family) .

Severely damaged-21454 (2 bundles of CGI sheets or 14 sheets each per family) and Partially damaged-7975 (No CGI sheets to be distributed) .
