Imphal, December 31 2021: Khoupum Area Villages Authority Council (KAVAC) has demanded a full-time Principal for Khansillung Higher Secondary School, Khoupum and stated that it had been functioning without a Principal for more than a decade.

A statement from KAVAC also commended P Nipendro Singh, Vice Principal, Khangsillung Higher Secondary School, on being promoted to the post of Principal, Government Higher Secondary School as per an order issued on December 28.KAVAC further said that despite assurances from Manipur State Legislative Assembly and the Education Minister to fulfil their demand for a full time Principal, no action had been initiated so far.

School Fagathansi Mission initiated by the State Government has had no positive impact and as such the populace of Khoupum with a lone Higher Secondary School to their name feel subjected to step-motherly treatment from the State, the press release added.

KAVAC strongly appealed to the authorities concerned to fulfil their demand and send a full-time Principal for the smooth functioning of the aforementioned school.
