UG cadres apprehended

Imphal, August 30 2014 : Based on specific intelligence provided by the 30 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) the Imphal East Police Commandos, launched an operation in the general area Porompat leading to apprehension of two KYKL over ground workers on August 28 .

The apprehendees have been identified as Saograkpham Surjit, 41 , s/o S Yaima Singh, of Singjamei Saokrakpham, Thoubal and Keisham Bimol alias Ibochou, 33, s/o K Ningthemjao Singh, of Singjamei Makha Sorokhaibam, Thoubal.

They were handed over to the Porompat Police station.

Meanwhile, based on specific intelligence provided by the 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) the Imphal East Police Commandos, launched an operation in the general area Jiri Parking, Thoubal Bazar leading to the apprehension of one KYKL cadre on August 29 .

The apprehendee was identified as Laishram Gandhi alias Meitei, 28, s/o Late Rajantombi Meitei, of Wangoi Mamang Sabalnongyai Khongbal.

One Mobile Phone with two Sim cards were recovered from his possession.

The apprehendee along with the recovered item has been handed over to the Imphal police station.
