Lamka, July 30 2013:
Hundreds of Anganwadi workers and helpers from 6 sub-divisions of Churachandpur held a rally here on Tuesday, days after their counterparts across held similar rally, demanding their honorarium that was reportedly due for 14 months now.
The rally began at Lamka Public Ground and concluded at the Deputy Commissioner's office with the rallyist handing over a memo to the Additional DC, Maniram Sharma.
Demanding that the Government pay them the due honorarium in full, the memo said they will not accept any offer for partial payment.
Leaders of the rally also told the press that they will resort to other forms of agitation if the Government fails to fulfil their demands by the first-half of August.
Churachandpur has 1010 Anganwadi Centres spread across its sub-divisions.
They were managed by over 2000 women with one Anganwadi worker and a helper each appointed for each of the centre.
