MitSna reaches out to conflict survivors

MitSna, a registered non-profit organisation based in Manipur with members spread across the globe, has been reaching out to the conflict survivors in the State with relief support under its project 'Rebuild Manipur' since the socio-political unrest began in May 2023 .
According to a release signed by Asha Tongbram, public relation officer & Archana Hijam, communication officer of MitSna, the organisation is currently focusing on its project 'Back to School' to help the displaced and affected students re-enter the education system by supporting them with books, notebooks, school bags and stationary items.
The 'Back to School' project will initially target the group- (Class 8 to 12) and top priority will be given to those who are living in the relief camps and those affected by the violence & have not received any Government support.
MitSna will initially support up to 100 students and provision of further aid will depend on availability of fund.
Notably, on March 3, 2024, the team of MitSna visited 5 different places in Mekola & Kakching Khunou, and distributed the support items to 33 students.
On March 10, the ground team of MitSna also distributed one time assistance kits to students (from Class VIII to X) taking refuge at the Temporary Shelter Home in Sawombung, Imphal East.
