Awareness on 'Menstrual Hygiene' conducted

Chandel, November 29 2024: Under the Chief Minister Menstrual Hygiene Scheme (CMMHS), Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) Adolescent Health, Chandel organised a "Mass Awareness Programme" on Menstrual Hygiene for girls aged 10-19 at JNV, Chandel located at Liwa Khullen, Chandel district.

At the event, District Nodal officer, RKSK Chandel, Dr Th Noren Singh along with District Counsellor of RMNCH+A, Mutum Oken Singh and Amanda Watham spoke as Resource person on the topic of menstrual hygiene, adolescent health, nutrition, health care and daily duties to be followed by the young girls.

The event was aimed to empower the self esteem of the young adolescent girls of the school and was attended by around 100 students along with faculty members of JNV Chandel.

Later at the event, high quality sanitary napkins were also distributed to the students for free.
