Bishnupur, September 29 2019: As part of the observance of Irabot month in different parts of Manipur, the 123rd birth anniversary of Jana Neta Irabot was observed at Kumbi market today.

The observance function organized by Irawat Celebration Committee, Kumbi Local Council was attended by Chairman Irawat Celebration Committee Manipur State Council Dr M Nara Singh; State Secy Manipur State Council CPI L Sotinkumar Singh; Wangoo Borayangbi ZP member M Brojen Singh; National teacher awardee M Mangi Singh; social worker N Ibohal and president Irawat Celebration Committee Kumbi Kh Dhana Meetei and other members of CPI as luminaries.

All the members present in the function and the dignitaries paid floral tirbutes and respect to the photo of Lamyanba Irabot to mark the beginning of the function followed by march pass, painting competition of the students from different schools including performance of cultural programme based on Jana Neta Irawat.

Later, the winners of the competition were encouraged with prizes as part of the function.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr M Nara Singh said that Manipur is facing leadership issue right now and is heading towards bleak future.

L Sotinkumar Singh said that Lamyanba Irabot diametrically opposed the oppression of capatilist regime towards the poor and innocent public while adding that it is time to change the said regime and bring a competent Govt who thinks and cares for the public as whole.

Meanwhile, Angel Club Thinungei also organized 123rd birth anniversary of Jana Neta Hijam Irabot at Thinungei Makha Leikai Community Hall during which a district level painting competition was organized as part of the function on the theme "Roles of Loktak Lake in Manipur" which saw participation from students of various school of Bishnupur district.

Around 140 students participated in the competition which was held in two different categories as Category A (Class V to 7) participated by 80 students and Category B (Class VIII to X) participated by 60 students.

Cash award and certificates were also distributed to the winners of competition later.

Additional SP (Ops) Bishnupur Ksh Manihar, Pradhan Thinungei GP N Bheigabati Devi, member Thinungei ZP O Joychandra Singh, member Nachou ZP Th Dilip Meitei and president AMMIK Bishnupur Centre Th Swarankumar Singh attended the function as presidium members.
