ADC Sadar Hills expresses gratitude to Ministry of Tribal Affairs

Kangpokpi, September 27 2019: The Autonomous District Council Sadar Hills expressed sincere gratitude and appreciated Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI for its concerned over the implementation of National Nutrition Mission in the state and Kangpokpi District in particular.

T Manihar Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi in a press conference held at his officer chamber this afternoon conveyed the gratitude and appreciation of the ADC Sadar Hills to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI.

He said that Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI deputed an under secretary to see over the implementation of the India's flagship programme, Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Mission) in the state including Kangpokpi district in particular.

He continued that the ADC Sadar Hills Councillors in its house meeting today expressed gratitude to Asghan Ali, Under Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI for his enthusiastic participation at Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebration yesterday at Eklavya Model Residential School, Gamnom Saparmeina apart from delivering an awareness speech on the National Nutrition Mission and participating in promotion of drumsticks or local medicinal herbs and vegetables through plantation.

He further said that the presence and participation of the Under Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI vastly motivated and encouraged not only the masses but also the concerned departments in its activities in the celebration of flagship programme.

The MCS officer also said that as part of the ongoing Nutrition month, a one day tribal food mela under Rashtriya Poshan Maah will be organized by SHADC Kangpokpi on September 30 at Nute Kailhang at Kangpokpi DHQs which will be followed by mass cleanliness drive on October 2 .
