KSO-SH asks all DLOs to be stationed at DHQ

Kanggui, August 27 2013: Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Sadar Hills has asked all the District Level Officers (DLOs) within Sadar Hills to be stationed at the District Headquarter immediately in public interest.

Speaking to media at Kangpokpi this evening, President of the Student body Thangminlen Kipgen said that some DLOs are functioning from elsewhere, thus resulting in slow and unsatisfactory development in the district.

Thangminlen Kipgen further pointed out that District Social Welfare Officer N.Usharani, who is supposed to be stationed at Kangpokpi DHQ has remained confined and executing her activities from Saitu-Gamphojol Block.

She is not a mere Block level officer but one responsible District Officer, who should execute and work from the DHQ and not from the Block.

The Student body demanded immediate shifting of District Social Welfare office/department from Saitu-Gamphajol Block to Kangpokpi DHQ along with the concerned officer and staffs.

In this regard, the student body wondered why the three MLAs from Sadar Hills have been remaining silent despite knowing the reality.

In the meantime, KSO-SH has decried the transferred of Chalwa and T.Waichong Centre to Saitu-Gampholjol Block from Kangpokpi under CAD&PD and demanded immediate re-transfer of the said centre to its original place.
