Many taking advantage of the curfew: KSA

Amidst the curfew imposed by the State Government to keep the rapid spread of Coronavirus at bay, many businessmen/agencies have been taking advantage of the curfew by hiking the prices of goods even though many organizations have appealed them not to do so.
Meanwhile, panic-buying and hoarding of goods by the rich section of the society have left the needy people, especially the daily wage earners, high and dry, said a press note issued by KSA vice president.
It expressed fear that the fate of the poor people will be grim if the State Government does not take up immediate measures to make the essential commodities available to the people, especially the needy, as the period of the curfew is yet to be over.
KSA urged the State Government to understand the condition of the public and to make sure that the goods reach the people.
Regarding the videos which have been going viral on social media which showed individuals going to pharmacy, hospital, being made to go back/stopped, KSA termed that the incidents as unfortunate since the Government had already relaxed the curfew for essential services.
It asserted that people with other illness and having emergency case will be brought to the hospital, not only COVID-19 suspected people, and the authorities concerned should understand that.
It also urged all to refrain from carrying out any misconduct upon people, who are out in the streets for medical or essential cases.
KSA further appealed the authorities concerned to not interfere with health workers, medical staff on their way to the hospital.
Decrying the blocking of localities and respective roads by people as a preventive measure thus hindering medical emergencies like ambulance, KSA appealed to all not to block roads.
Expressing happiness on the recovery of the present COVID-19 patient in the State, it prayed to God for her swift recovery and good health.
KSA then expressed gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff along with the Chief Minister for their tireless efforts and initiatives to combat the virus.
