NSCN regional offices reaffirm FA

Imphal, September 26 2020: NSCN-IM's Wung Tangkhul Region and Lotha Region have reaffirmed and reiterated their support to the Framework Agreement signed between the outfit and Government of India on August 3, 2015 .

Separate press releases issued by the two regional offices claimed that the Government of India officially took cognizance of the sovereignty of Naga people and accordingly agreed on sharing of sovereign power as the basis for an honourable solution between the two entities.

Thus, without respecting and recognising the Naga flag and Constitution, there cannot be an honourable solution as envisioned in the Framework Agreement, said the NSCN-IM's two regional offices.

"We strongly believe that the Government of India will display their political maturity by honouring the historical and political rights of the Naga people", added the press release issued by the Lotha regional office.
