KIMACS condoles demise of S Nodiya

Imphal, August 26 2021: The Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) has condoled demise of S Nodiya Mangang who was also the former president and an advisor of the society.

He was 93, said KIMACS in a statement while recalling that the person had immensely contributed towards the development of Thang-Ta in the State.

He was a part of the State Government's Common Syllabus Committee on Thang-Ta in 2007 and a member of the syllabus committee of both the Board of Secondary Education Manipur and Council of Higher Secondary School Education Manipur, KIMACS said.

During his active days, 'Oja' Nodiya was instrumental in establishment of various thang-ta institutes, said KIMACS which also added that Thang-Ta related activities will be ceased for three days as a mark of respect to the late Thang-Ta activists.

KIMACS also shared grief of the bereaved family.
