Lilong Haoreibi College Alumni Association hails

The Lilong Haoreibi College Alumni Association has hailed authorities of the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), New Delhi and the Department of Higher Education for considering the proposal submitted by Lilong Haoreibi College for opening the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from the academic session of 2023-24 .
The Alumni Association lauded the NCTE during its meeting held on February 25 at the Multipurpose Hall of the College.
According to a statement issued by the Association, under the ITEP, the college will provide facilities for obtaining the BA BEd or BSc BEd degrees simultaneously after the completion of the 4 years integrated course.
The decision to consider the college for the programme was taken during the 321st meeting of the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC) held on February 21 at NCTE, New Delhi.
The Alumni Association of the College in its release appealed to the authorities concerned to extend full cooperation to develop the college into a centre for the teacher education programmes in view of the dire need for upliftment of the educationally, economically and socially backward minority community.
The release also states that the College is gearing up to meet the requirements for the Visiting Team (VT), a physical verification which would be the next step in the process of approval.
