Imphal, September 25 2019:
Husband of a 42-year-old woman who died with the twins she gave birth has blamed hospital authority and doctor for their deaths.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club Wednesday, the husband, Ranjitpou Gangmei of Chingmeirong Rongmei village, said his wife Chuichui Chalhang Gangmei was admitted at Remedy Hospital at Konung Mamang, Imphal on September 7 for delivery.
She was under the care of Dr Th Dijen, he said.
On September 11, Chuichui Gangmei complaint of severe pain and as such ultrasound was taken in morning at around 9 .
During the inspection, it was found out that one of the twins had died inside the womb, Ranjitpou said.

Chuichui was rushed to the operation theatre of the hospital (Remedy Hospital) at around 1 pm, the same day and she delivered the twins- a boy and a girl.
While the boy was declared born dead, the baby girl's condition was critical according to the doctor, Ranjitpou said.
Dr Dijen then advised him to take the girl child to one Dr Ratan.
The baby was thus kept under the care of Dr Ratan, he said while asserting that he was not informed about the condition of the mother (his wife).
When he enquired, he was told that the mother required blood transfusion and her 'liver was bad'.
He was further advised to evacuate Chuichui to JNIMS or RIMS (Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Lamphel).
She was then rushed to Shija Hospital.
At Shija Hospital he was told that her wife's condition was critical.
Doctors at Shija Hospital had hoped that she was brought in earlier, he said.
Both the mother (his wife) and the baby girl died on September 15, Ranjitpou said blaming the hospital for negligence and lack of proper care and attention.
"They are dead because of the doctor's and staff's negligence at the Remedy Hospital," he said urging authorities concerned to investigate and assess the private hospitals opened in the State to ensure proper adequate/service, infrastructure and equipment necessary.
