Training programme on district resource team held

One day training on District Resource Team was jointly organised by District Health Society Thoubal, AHANA Project Manipur and DAPCU Thoubal at Conference Hall of District Health Society, Thoubal today.
The inaugural function was attended by Dr Ksh Memcha Devi, district family welfare officer Thoubal, Ch Basanta Singh, district programme manager Thoubal, Dr Th Rajen Singh, DACO and L Rinarshi, State programme officer, AHANA project Manipur as presidium members.
Ms Rinarshi explained that the main objective of the training is to build the capacity of the ANM and block programme manager to conduct all the WBFPT (whole blood finger prick test) of HIV and POC - Syphilis to scale up the coverage of HIV and Syphilis screening at PHC and sub-centre level.
The trained ANM will further teach the other untrained ANMs on WBFPT of HIV and POC - Syphilis screening in their regular monthly meeting conducted at the block level.
The peripheral workers training provisioned in the project aims in creating a cadre of trained personal in the public health system which will eventually saturate HIV and Syphilis screening health facilities down to the village level.
Through this resource team the project will try to reach out all the frontline workers specially ANM, she added.
Dr Ksh Memcha said that the training programme will help the trained ANM to conduct HIV test easily while providing the test result immediately.
The training programme was participated by two block programme managers of Thoubal and Lilong while 28 ANMs from different Health sub-centre under Thoubal district also took part in the training programme.
Th Openkumar Singh supervisor of DAPCU Thoubal, O Urmila Devi Counsellor PPTCT and M Raseshori Devi Lab Tech District Hospital Thoubal attended the programme as a resource persons.
