Thanlon MLA distributes aid to differently abled persons

Lamka, July 25 2013: Over twenty five differently abled persons today received hearing-aid and wheel chair from Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Thanlon AC, Vungzagin Valte at the later's residence in New Lamka.

Addressing the beneficiaries, their relatives and other who attended the solemn function, Valte encouraged them to make the best use of the Government's goodwill initiative for their own benefit and for that of the family and society.

Besides the five wheel-chairs and twenty sets of hearing-aid, he and other officials handed them over today, the Parliamentary Secretary claimed that he had requested the concerned department to grant a minimum of five more hearing aid as he had received request much more than the allocation.

Additional DC of Churachandpur Maniram Sharma, whom Valte had spoken highly of due to his resolved despite being a disable himself, has attended the function along with the SDO of Thanlon Lalramsang, and MO of Singzawl PHSC.

Many of the beneficiaries claimed that the aid distributed in today's function was the first of its kind they have ever witnessed for the interior constituency of Thanlon.
