RK Anand organises COVID-19 testing routines

Imphal, September 24 2020: Ex-MLA RK Anand, with the help of the Chief Minister, State Health Department and Imphal West Deputy Commissioner N Praveen conducted COVID testing at Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai Community Hall and the old age home at Mongshangei run by the All Manipur Senior Citizen's Welfare Organization, today.

The testing was done by the official staff of the Health Department.

The testing was initiated after the area of Heirangoithong Yaingam Leirak was declared a containment zone after residents tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, in association with the local club of Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai, residents of the locality were also tested in order to contain further spread of the disease.

RK Anand stated that during his visit to the old age home in Mongshangei to provide food items for the senior citizens lodged there, as part of Sewa Saptah observance, he decided to organise a COVID testing routine for them after due consultation with the Chief Minster, as precautionary measures.
