Leaders of Nupi Lups felicitated

Imphal, January 24 2021: Leaders of Nupi Lups were felicitated and gifts were presented in a program held at Uripok Panchai Maning Community Hall today organised by Uripok Panchai Maning Development Committee.

Speaking as the chief guest, RK Ranisana State executive member of BJP and former chairperson of IMC stated that an unbiased society will come into existence only when women are empowered and are given the proposed 33 percent reservations in State Assemblies and Parliament.

She stated that the leaders of Nupi Lups have stood firmly for the State in all aspects.

Similarly many successful and inspiring women have come up in the State who are self built.

However the involvement of women in governance and law making is comparatively low.

She stressed on the importance of giving the proposed 33 percent reservations for women for their empowerment and expressed belief that Prime Minister Modi will surely take up steps to implement the same as he has been taking up many projects for the upliftment of women in the country.

RK Ranisana requested all the leaders of Nupi Lups to work for the growth of younger women thereby guiding them towards the right path and striving for a unified and developed society.

President of Uripok Panchai Maning Development Committee RK Harshyam presided the event and shared the dais with presidents of various Nupi Lups namely Th Ramani of Nupi Samaj, L Memchoubi of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, RK Sanahanbi of Kanglei Ima Lup, Maibam Purnimashi of Ching Tam United Women Association, RK Thasana of Women Association for Socio Economic Development, S Momon Leima of Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup and L Nganbi of AMKIL.

As a part of the event RK Ranisana presented woollen shawls to all the presidium members.
